Re-Energising Cinema-Going Through Collaboration

Led by Madeleine Probst (Programme Producer, Watershed, UK & Europa Cinemas Vice-President) and Frank Groot (Programmer, Financial Director, Kino Rotterdam, Netherlands), the focus for this three-day Lab will be on exploring the potential of cinemas as vital connectors in their local communities and beyond; from local partnerships and regeneration to international relevance. There’ll be opportunities to share strategies around market positioning, data driven approaches, partnership-working, programming and eventisation (in-venue and online) as well as balancing income generation with sustainable, accessible and ethical practices to create value. After such a challenging period for the sector, this lab will also be a great opportunity to broaden your networks and scope out potential international collaborations with other film industry practitioners.

You can expect practice-based insights from other exhibitors including small group discussions to help you find creative solutions to specific challenges as well as opportunities to share and pitch ideas with the wider group.

Simultaneous translation in English and Spanish will be provided during the seminar.

Register your interest in attending the lab by filling in this FORM by Driday 15th October 2021.
