Europa Cinemas, the LUX Film Prize and the Giornate degli Autori will turn the dream of 28 young filmgoers (one participant per member state of the European Union) into reality!

28 Times Cinema 2018

Since 2010 and co-organized with the LUX Film Prize (European Parliament) and Giornate degli Autori, this great initiative will allow 28 young cinemagoers to attend the Mostra del Cinema as jury members of the Giornate degli Autori official competition.

The 28 jurors will award a prize of 20,000 € to a film selected in the Giornate degli Autori competition. They will also watch the three films competing for the LUX Film Prize for which they will be afterwards the ambassadors during the events organised in their respective countries.

During Venice the 28 Ambassadors will also be invited to take part in workshops and debates with audiovisual industry professionals and to meet members of the European Parliament’s Culture and Education committee. They will share their experience and their passion for cinema in a blog and through virtual ‘postcards’ sent from the Festival and shared in the Europa Cinemas’ social networks.

For the 8th year in a row, the 28 lucky ones will be chosen among the young audience of our network members. The cinemas taking part in the call for application this year are:
