Cinemas are competing with global streaming companies for consumers’ attention. These players are able to suggest personalized content to their users and to reach a narrow target audience. The idea of the project is for cinemas to be able to offer personalized in-depth online content curated by partner cinemas in connection with films for which their customers have purchased tickets.
Partner cinemas have recently launched new websites and have already worked together to integrate in the Netherlands the European ticketing platform Mycloudcinema (launched summer 2022). “Cinema +” is a continuation of that effort and aims to develop in-house data analysis and CRM tools alongside with a content strategy. The objective is to significantly increase the number of visits to websites and cinemas and to turn occasional movie goers into real film buffs.
