Professional days

Cinemas 93 - 04-06 November 2020

03/11/2020

Europa Cinemas will participate in the « Journées professionnelles de Cinémas 93 » (“Cinémas 93’ professional days”), an event exclusively online from November 4 to 6.

Professional days

As in previous years, this event was to be held at Ciné 104 in Pantin. Due to the lockdown and cinemas closing, the round tables and other events will therefore take place online and live.

Cinémas 93 is an organisation that federates 23 independent cinemas in the Seine-Saint-Denis department, north-east of Paris, among which Le Méliès in Montreuil, Le Bijou in Noisy-le-Grand, L'Ecran in Saint-Denis and L'Espace 1789 in Saint-Ouen, 4 members of Europa Cinemas. Every year, these highly attended days are an opportunity to discuss, in particular, image education, creation and the issues facing independent cinema theatres.

In the continuity of our participation in other professional online events (Festival de Contis, Online Labs...), three exhibitors members of Europa Cinemas will speak on Friday, November 6, at 9:30 am (TBC), on the theme "Independent arthouse cinemas reinvent themselves facing the crisis":

Frédéric Cornet, director of the cinema Les Galeries in Brussels (Belgium)

Elise Jalladeau, director of the Thessaloniki festival and of the Olympion and Warehouse cinemas (Greece)

Ramiro Ledo, exhibitor and distributor, DUPLEX Cinema in Ferrol and NUMAX Distribución (Spain)

Claude-Eric Poiroux, Director General of Europa Cinemas, will introduce this discussion which will be moderated by Vincent Merlin, Director of Cinemas 93.

________

The discussions, held only in French, will be available online.

We invite you to follow the other debates and conferences as well.
