FILM THERAPY FILM CLUB (FTFC) is a project designed to engage young audiences (ages 13-25) and adults in meaningful discussions on mental health, social issues, and environmental concerns through European cinema. The program includes film screenings, expert-led discussions, and creative workshops that provide a platform for participants to express their reflections through art, such as graffiti, painting, and writing. The project also connects two European film festivals — Alexandre Trauner ART/Film Festival in Hungary and This Human World International Film Festival in Austria — where a student jury will be formed to select the best films on mental health, human rights, and environmental issues. FTFC will establish a collection of European films and educational materials to support mental health and social issue-related screenings and therapy sessions. FTFC is a continuation of the "Film Recipes for Mental Health" project implemented in Lithuania in 2024 and supported by Collaborate to Innovate, expanding its reach to a wider international context by connecting Southeast and Central European cinemas. The project aims to build sustainable relationships with young cinema-goers, provide therapeutic discussions, and create cross-border opportunities for learning and personal growth.
