Presentation of the Label Jury
Three Network exhibitors from Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Netherlands will take part in the Europa Cinemas Label Jury on the occasion of the upcoming International Film Festival of Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic. The Jury members will award one film among 17 European films competing in both the Crystal Globe and Proxima Competition.

The three EC Label Jury members are:
Daniel Krátký (Head of Cinema, Kino Svět Hodonín, Hodonín, Czech Republic)
Dan Krátký is the head of Cinema Svět in Hodonín, Czech Republic, and holds degrees in film history from Masaryk University, where he occasionally lectures. He is also the creative director of Filmasia, the Czech Republic’s longest-running Asian film festival. In 2023, he was appointed vice-chairman of the Czech Association of Cinema Operators, and in 2025, he became its chairman. Now an occasional film critic and full-time cinephile, he remains head over heels for cinema in all its forms.
Slavomíra Macáková (Special Film Programmer, Kino Úsmev, Košice, Slovakia)
Slavomíra Macáková graduated from Masaryk University in Brno with a degree in Film Theory and History and Audiovisual Culture. She is currently completing her doctoral studies in Film Studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), with a research focus on New Cinema History and a particular interest in the cinemas of Košice. Since 2020, she has worked as a film programmer at the arthouse cinema Kino Úsmev in Košice. She also teaches vocational film subjects at SŠUPF in Košice, the only secondary film school in Slovakia. Actively involved in film education, she participates in the international project FilmED.
Wouter Timmermans (Programmer, FilmHallen, Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
Wouter Timmermans has been a programmer at FilmHallen Amsterdam for eight years. He fell in love with film and cinema as a teenager while working in a video store. During his studies in Amsterdam, he started working at a small student-run cinema and continued in the field after graduating. FilmHallen is an independent cinema housed in a former tram depot in the heart of Amsterdam, featuring nine screens and a strong focus on European arthouse films.
