Locarno Film Festival (6 – 16 August 2025)
Presentation of the Label Jury
Four Network exhibitors from Belgium, Canada, Germany and Ukraine will take part in the Europa Cinemas Label Jury at the upcoming 78th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The Jury members will award one film among the 21 European films competing in both the Concorso internazionale and Concorso Cineasti del presente.
The four EC Label Jury members are:
Yuliia Antypova (Chief Manager, Zhovten cinema, Kyiv, Ukraine)
Yuliia Antypova is the director of Zhovten Cinema in Kyiv and has over a decade of experience in film programming and festival organization. She collaborates with institutions such as the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre and the Film O'Clock International Festival. She is the founder of the Kyiv Film Festival and co-organizer of Soundtrack:Ukraine, a festival exploring music in Ukrainian cinema. Her work focuses on promoting arthouse European cinema and supporting the visibility of Ukrainian films.
Catherine Lemaire (Programmer, Kinograph / Cineflagey, Brussels, Belgium)
Catherine Lemaire graduated in philosophy and began working in film exhibition in 2008 with Les Grignoux, where she oversaw events, programming, and industry relations across venues in Liège and Namur. In 2023, she joined Cinécité, a cooperative dedicated to reviving local cinemas in Brussels, and now manages programming and events at the Cineflagey single-screen venue. She is a member of the film selection committee at the Centre du Cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and also works as a freelance film market analyst and Q&A moderator.
Roxanne Sayegh (CEO, Cinémas Beaubien, Parc and Musée, Montreal, Canada)
Roxanne Sayegh has worked in film exhibition for over 20 years. Since 2022, she has served as CEO of Cinéma Beaubien, Cinéma du Parc, and Cinéma du Musée in Montreal. She is a co-founder of Cinéma Moderne and Cinéma du Public and previously held leadership roles at the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal and the AMBULANTE film festival in Mexico.
Verena von Stackelberg (Managing Director, Wolf Kino, Berlin, Germany)
Verena von Stackelberg is the founder and managing director of Wolf Kino, a cinema in Berlin that operates a circular and social network to promote independent films and connect them to audiences in a vibrant and social way. Born in Heidelberg, she studied in London and worked for Curzon Cinemas and the Cambridge Film Festival. From Wolf Kino’s opening in 2017 to 2024, she was a member of the Berlinale Competition selection committee. She also serves on various film funding bodies and teaches cinema management and programming at film schools and academies across Germany.

The Europa Cinemas Label will be awarded on Saturday, 16 August at 5.00pm during the Award Ceremony for Independent Juries at the Forum Spazio Cinema located next to the Palexpo FEVI (Via Alla Peschiera 9, 6600 Locarno).
