Europa Cinemas Label at Locarno
For the first time this year in Locarno, a Jury comprising four Network exhibitors will award the Europa Cinemas Label to the best European feature-length screened in Concorso Internazionale and Cineasti del presente selections.
On the occasion of the 66th Festival del film Locarno (7-17th August), Europa Cinemas is pleased to set up a new Label and to take part in Step in initiative. Initiated last year as part of the Industry Days, Step in is an exchange platform in which new strategies for distribution, exhibition and sales of auteur cinema are discussed and developed in closed working sessions. Participants are composed by members of Europa International, Europa Distribution and Europa Cinemas.
This year’s program broadens its regional scope to include additional European territories. After a panel on the Russian market, sales agents, distributors, exhibitors and funders from all over Europe will discuss some key issues of the European market.

MARY NAZARI - Pioner Cinema - MOSCOW (Russia)
Mary Nazari is graduated from Moscow State University, where she studied psychology and psychology of art. She is General Director and Head of Programming of an art house cinema in Moscow, Pioner. As a producer, she worked especially on Silent Souls (Osvyanki) by Aleksei Fedorchenko.
LUZ DELGADO - Cines Van Dyck - SALAMANCA (Spain)
Graduated in Modern Languages, Luz Delgado is a former French teacher at the University of Salamanca. As a programmer of cultural activities, she has worked jointly with her husband Juan Heras, a genuine movie lover. In 1979, they opened Cines Van Dyck. That two-screen movie theater was a pioneer among cinemas complexes in Spain. They currently own 32 screens in León, Cáceres and Salamanca. CinesVan Dyck has contributed for 34 years, to the cultural life of these cities.
ROD WHITE - Filmhouse - EDINBURGH (United Kingdom)
Rod White is the Head of Programming of the Filmhouse Cinema in Edinburgh, Scotland's leading cultural cinema, having previously served as the Shorts Programmer, then Senior Feature Film Programmer for the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
HENK CAMPING - Member of the Europa Cinemas Board of Directors (The Netherlands)
From 1980 to 2012, Henk Camping was Director of Filmtheatre't Hoogt, Network cinema member located in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Henk Camping is currently General Secretary of Europa Cinemas and actively contribute to Europa Cinemas Network activities
