The British website Filmstreet offers young internet users the chance to take a stroll along a virtual street, which could be at Paramount studios in Hollywood or Babelsberg studios in Germany, and to discover the key locations in the life of a film: the cinema, the animation workshop, the film studio, the costume shop, the Film Academy, where you learn to write scripts, or even the library, where it is possible to find out information about the key themes associated with cinema, from documentaries through to the use of music in films. At each stage the visitor is invited to view film extracts or short films, to create animated film sequences or costumes, to discover how special effects are made or to find out about editing.
