IDIFF (International Digital Film Forum) is a professional showcase entirely dedicated to digital cinema. It proposes a real platform of experimentation for the technologies of acquisition, post-production and diffusion in cinemas.

For its third edition, IDIFF (International Digital Film Forum) settles once again in the Palais des Festivals of Cannes. Through screenings, a cycle of conferences and an exhibition, IDIFF proposes to all professionals of the cinema chain to apprehend the technological mutations of the 7th art. After the 2K screening of Malabar Princess in 2004, IDIFF organises the screening of a full length film encoded in JPEG 2000. Another evening will be dedicated to the screening of Saraband by Ingmar Bergman, shot in high definition and distributed in digital cinema by Rézo Films.
During the conferences of IDIFF, an international panel of industrialists, entrepreneurs and artists will present their visions of the digital cinema. Wednesday, February 2 will be dedicated to the technologies of protection of cinematographic works and to their uses, especially in cinema theatres. Thursday, February 3 will be dedicated to the problematic of conservation of current and classic films with digital files and to the evolutions of the professions of distributor and exhibitor (as well as their relations) facing the arrival of digital.
