MAEE Imprimer
The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), through Europa Cinemas, supports the initiatives of the member cinemas towards the programming of European films, more particularly films which obtained the French CNC's agreement.
The "MAEE" programme has been developed since 1994 in order to make the European films' access to screens easier and to increase the duration of their exhibition in the member cinemas.
At the moment, 17 countries can benefit from this programme located in the countries which join neither the MEDIA Programme of the European Union nor the Eurimages Programme of the Council of Europe, notably the CIS countries, Central and Eastern European countries and Latin America. Cinemas currently members are located in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Moldavia, Russia and Ukraine.
11 cinemas are now supported, distributed in 10 cities and 7 countries, adding up 18 screens.
