THE MILL AND THE CROSS finds its path in Japan

After a dozen territories, Majewski’s THE MILL AND THE CROSS could be opened with 2 screens in Japan (Eurospace in Tokyo and Jack and Betty in Yokohama) on December 17th 2011,with the support of the distribution scheme of Europa Cinemas International.

This film release is the result of a joint-action between three Japanese companies, Cetera, Studio Broadmedia and Eurospace and after 13 weeks of exhibition the film has gathered about 18,000 people.

Eurospace, which has been a member of Europa Cinemas International since 2010, could strongly boost the film from its early start and collect 9,800 admissions on its own. Since then, thanks to a great number of independent theatres settled all over the country, the film has already gone through 18 different locations and will be programmed in 16 other more.

Thanks to this wide-spread release plan, the duration of exhibition is strongly increased and the chances for independent films such as The Mill & The Cross to meet their audiences are strengthened.

We wish it a long life yet!
