Europa Cinemas at Cannes 2015


We'll be pleased to meet you at the Europa Cinemas stand (European Pavilion) during all the festival. The Europa Cinemas Network Meeting will take place on Sunday 17th May, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Majestic Hotel. Now in its 13th year at the Cannes Film Festival, a jury of four Network exhibitors will be awarding the Europa Cinemas Label to the best European film in the Directors' Fortnight. We’ll also participate in a NEXT Conference on Tuesday 19th and we invite you to take part to the Happy Hour Special Ciné Guimbi on Wednesday 20th.

Marijana Bošnjak - Kino Urania - Osijek (Croatia)

Always prepared to take on a challenge, implement changes and accept a risk, Marijana Bosnjak dedicates her professional career to consulting and her biggest challenges are companies which are "on the edge". Being a passionate lover of art house cinema, she is also programme creator, project manager, head of strategic and marketing planning at Kino Urania.

Edouard Meier - Cinéma Galeries - Brussels (Belgium)

Edouard Meier created the Cinéma Galeries in 2012. Located under the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert in the centre of Brussels, this art house cinema is also a 1000m2 exhibition venue dedicated to cinema and design. Edouard Meier is also the director of the distribution company Numéro Zéro, the crowdfunding platform KissKissBankBank for Benelux and the incubator dedicated to comics and animation Comiscstarter. 

Ulrika Sundbäck - Biografen Zita - Stockholm (Sweden)

After starting as a film projectionist in the 90's, Ulrika Sundbäck has worked as a journalist and editor of domestic news for ten years. Since 2011, she has been the managing director of Biografen Zita, which is the oldest cinema – it first opened in 1913 – still running in Stockholm.

Boris Thomas - Ciné St-Leu - Amiens (France)

Boris Thomas joined the Ciné St-Leu team in 2004 as marketing manager. Graduated of the French school La Femis in cinema exhibition, he is currently the programmer and assistant director of this single screen dedicated to arthouse cinema which gathers over 50.000 admissions a year.
