Europa Cinemas invites you to cooperate with other cinema theatres and set up together innovative projects aimed at promoting or organizing activities related to European cinema.


Set up a new and original project together with other exhibitors (minimum 3 network cinemas) from your own country or other countries. Exhibitors that are not part of the network can participate to the project. The lead partner needs to be a network member.

The projects have to relate to the circulation of European films or programmes, the setting-up of group initiatives to organize activities aimed at developing new audiences, the shared use of new technologies or setting-up training workshops. 

Priority for support is reserved for projects involving countries and cinemas where innovative practices are less common. Initiatives can only receive support the first time they are set up.


  • To structure the network integration of theatres on a regional, national or European level.
  • To encourage exhibitors to collaborate on promotional activities in order to increase the impact of the European Films releases.
  • To incentivize the organisation of collective activities aimed at non-national European films.


The financial participation of Europa Cinemas cannot exceed 5,000 € and 50% of overall investments, and cannot include fixed running or personnel costs. The eligible expenses are listed in the COLLABORATE! GUIDELINES available here .


Submit your project by filling in the PROJECT APPLICATION FORM available here . In this form you will have to indicate the cinemas participating to the project and submit a provisional budget.

This is a rolling program throughout the calendar year. You can apply at any point in 2016 for projects taking place in 2016. You have to apply at least 2 months before the event.
